Superhero

In case you haven't noticed, superheroes are all the latest rage these days. With all the comic books, television shows, and movies showcasing the amazing super powers of heroes from around the galaxy, it's clear that superheroes aren't going away anytime soon.

Of course one characteristic that all superheroes have in common is courage, which makes them the perfect thing to dress up as this coming Halloween. To help give you some specific costume ideas, here are some of the most courageous superheroes:

Just remember that when you're dressed up as a superhero, you don't really have super powers.

Soldier

Some of the most courageous men are those who fight for and defend this country's freedom. American soldiers are those who serve in the U.S. Army and perform a variety of duties on the ground including shooting the enemy, digging trenches, knowing how to use a variety of weapons, and surviving under difficult circumstances.

If you want your soldier costume to be as realistic as possible, you'll need to get some camouflage military gear such as:

• Helmet
• Binoculars
• Backpack
• Flashlight

While the average soldier wears about 60 pounds of military gear, you don't have to go that far. Besides this gear, you'll also need a pair of camouflage pants and a shirt, along with a brown pair of boots.

Firefighter

Nothing is more courageous than running into a building that everyone else is trying to escape due to a burning fire. For this reason, a firefighter is considered one of the most courageous occupations.

If you want to look like a real firefighter, you should wear firefighter pants and a jacket that is either black or dark blue. Firefighters generally wear black helmets but if you want to improve your rank when dressing up, here is what color your helmet should be:

• White - Chief officer
• Red - Captain
• Yellow - Lieutenant
• Orange - Probationary firefighter

To finalize your firefighter costume, be sure to wear a black pair of boots.
